Kalyn & Bryan’s Wedding

Bryan and Kalyn have known each other since they were nine years old! They met in their fourth grade class. In fifth grade they sat back to back in class the whole year and became good friends. In middle school Bryan and Kalyn were completely smitten with each other and all of their peers would constantly say “you two are going to get married!” Little did they know…it would come true!

They split in high school after going to two different schools but stayed in touch every now and then. Their senior year, they started to become close again we got back together! They have been inseparable ever since.

Their wedding inspiration was all about under the sea! They have always loved “The Little Mermaid” and Bryan has always been fascinated by what lies under the sea. It was something they both loved and something fun for their guests to experience, it was a perfect fit! All of the decorations and favors were made by Kalyn and the ceremony arch was made by her father, which shadowed Kalyn’s new last name on the floor.

Parties Around the Big Party: Rehearsal Dinner

When planning a wedding you concentrate on all the details of the big day, but what about all those other events before and after the wedding? Today we discuss the Rehearsal Dinner!

Traditionally you are supposed to invite all your guests coming from out of town to the rehearsal dinner, but nowadays, with friends and relatives all over the country, most of your guests are from out of town. So, what do you do if you don’t want to have another reception before the actual Wedding Reception?

There are several schools of thought on this.   One suggestion is to have the rehearsal two days before the wedding with only the bridal party & parents attending the rehearsal dinner and then have a more casual welcome reception the night before the wedding. Another idea is to have the rehearsal dinner the night before with bridal party and parents followed by a dessert party with all the out of town guests attending. Whichever you decide, it is important to select a location that offers many different venues under one roof.

Eleven Restaurant

Eleven Restaurant is situated on the rooftop of the Reunion Grande with 360 degree views of the area. This sophisticated year-round, indoor-outdoor restaurant offers nightly views of the Disney Fireworks, handcrafted cocktails and a signature steakhouse menu.  For groups of 15 people or more they offer a group menus and also reception station style menus, pricing ranging from $59-$79 per person.

 

Forte Restaurant

Forte Restaurant serves traditional Italian cuisine in a warm and rustic atmosphere. Hearty pasta dishes and fresh seafood provide rich, authentic flavors, offered in half and family portions, create an inspiring blend between food and family.  For the intimate rehearsal dinner of less then 14 guests, Forte has two private dining rooms. Group menus are available for groups of 15 people or more and which range from $55-$75 per person.

 

Grande Falls Pavilion

Looking for an outdoor venue that can be dressed up or down based on your style? The Grande Falls Pavilion is the perfect spot! This permanently tented structure offers the outdoor atmosphere with the protection of a covered ceiling. Overlooking the driving range the Pavilion makes a great location for a casual welcome reception or a trendy dessert reception. Our Catering Team will help you customize the menu to create a memorable start to your wedding weekend!

 

 

 

 

Top-of-the-World Wedding Ceremonies at Eleven Restaurant

One of our favorite ceremony locations is on top of The Grande at Eleven. Sitting at the highest point of the resort, the eleventh floor, the setting is truly breathtaking. This location is perfect for intimate ceremonies. The best part is that your guests will get to experience the sweeping views whether you hold your ceremony inside or out!

Ceremonies held inside the restaurant will be framed with our stunning arched windows. The hardwood floors and decorative ceiling are complimented by soft hues to create an elegant atmosphere. The flood of natural lighting gives the space an open feel and makes for a beautiful backdrop.

The pool deck, located directly outside the restaurant gives couples another location option. Frame your ceremony against the stone fireplace or turn towards the back of the resort to soak everything in. Your guests will enjoy the privacy of the space and you will enjoy the fabulous photo opportunities.

Looking for a great location both your intimate ceremony and reception? Eleven is the perfect place to hold both. The sliding glass doors allow guests the ability to go in and out as they please and the grand windows are ideally placed to frame the head table. Blaze a fire in the outdoor fireplace or set up a cocktail hour or dessert table poolside. At the end of your evening, turn your attention towards the theme parks for a glittering display of fireworks, just for you!

Your intimate ceremony and reception will seem grander than you could have imagined with the top-of-the-world feeling you’ll receive at Eleven.

Amy & Erik’s Wedding

Amy and Erik first met at the beginning of their college careers at a gathering neither of them even wanted to attend. Though they knew many of the same people they hadn’t met each other before that evening. It seemed that after meeting at the party they kept running in to each other everywhere they went. Erik finally convinced Amy to go on a date and there the real story begins. Together they made it through college and the beginning of their professional careers all while sharing laughs and making memories along the way.

The Bride and Groom decided on a peacock inspired 20’s theme for their wedding. The Bride adorned a bird cage veil and a flirty flowing gown while the groom opted for a charcoal suit and vintage inspired brooch for his boutonniere. The bridal party complimented this bold color palette with peacock blue dresses and light gray suits.

The Groom used his creativity and expertise to customize their stationary from the invitations all the way to the seating chart. Instead of a traditional guest book, the Bride and Groom asked for guests to sign pieces from a Jenga  game showcasing that family and friends are an important piece to building a strong and lasting marriage.

This out-of-the-box couple chose Reunion’s signature Eleven Restaurant for their cocktail hour and reception. With groom-designed centerpieces, they allowed the existing ambiance and décor to shine.

Amy and Erik decided on a station style menu as they wanted to provide many dining options for their guests and still keep the party going. A salad station complete with Caprese and Caesar options, baked brie, the groom’s favorite beef wellington, and lobster tail were among some of their cuisine. This fun couple also decided to have a cupcake wedding cake and incorporated the bold jewel tones down to the icing.

Overlooking the spectacular views of the surrounding areas, guests danced the night away under the stars. Congratulations to Amy and Erik and we wish you all the best in life, love and happiness.

Unique Restaurant Receptions

For the bride looking for something unique, Reunion Resort offers two exceptional restaurant locations offering just that. Our Forte restaurant located on the main floor of the Grande provides an intimate Tuscan atmosphere with rich, earth tones and rustic stone pillars. Ideal for weddings with 70 or less guests, using the existing seating promotes an upscale dinner atmosphere rather than the typical wedding reception. For the more intimate weddings looking to incorporate wedding traditions, cocktail hour can be offered at Forte’s patio area and a dance floor can be accommodated on the existing wood floor in the center of the venue.

Our Eleven restaurant is one of a kind in the Orlando area. Located on the roof of the Grande, this venue offers spectacular views of South Orlando with a modern, South Beach flair. The existing dark wood seating is a stunning contrast to the light and airy décor enhanced with blues and creams. One side of the restaurant is filled with windows and smaller patios while the other side is almost completely glass doors that can be fully opened. For weddings of 100 or less, a station style reception with seating inside and outside is ideal. More traditional receptions can be accommodated for 70 or less guests with an open air dance floor. For our intimate weddings, we offer this venue as a single location for all festivities. The ceremony is beautiful on the patio accented by the columns and fireplace with cocktail hour immediately offered outside. Guests can then be invited inside the restaurant for dinner.
