Cassie & Ryan’s Wedding + Video

Cassie and Ryan met about four years ago. Cassie had just moved from New York to Florida and the two met at work. Ryan worked as a banquet server and Cassie was hired as the Event Manager. They spent many long days and nights together planning, executing and cleaning up after weddings and events, that it only made sense when they happily became a couple!

Their wedding was a perfect reflection of their personalities, they tastes and most importantly, their love for each other. The décor was classically modern, with touches of tradition. They used white, black and silver accents and took the beautiful backdrop of Reunion and transformed it into an elegant Saturday evening wedding. Cassie and Ryan can still not say enough wonderful things about Reunion’s sprawling property, elegant green space and the attention to detail by every member of the team.

They saw that their best wedding memory was having their family and friends from all over the world join them to celebrate their marriage. They loved the convenience of Reunion’s villas so close together which allowed them to spend even more time with their loved ones. Cocktail parties, welcome receptions, rehearsal dinner, the wedding day and their family Water Park day made an eventful weekend full of celebrating.

Their entire family had a wonderful vacation and they look to make staying at Reunion an annual tradition!

Jackie & Evan’s Wedding

Jackie and Evans’ love story began in Tampa, Florida while Jackie was in college and Evans attended medical school.

Shortly after graduation, Evans took a job in Dallas, Texas and they both moved half way across the country, away from their families and friends. This time for them was hard but also helped their relationship grow even stronger and most importantly, made them realize they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

Shortly after Jackie and Evans were engaged, they decided that Florida was their true home and they wanted to come back to celebrate their wedding.

They had a few key aspects that were very important to them- a wedding that had an elegant tone but was also casual and of course, fun! Both Jackie and Evans love the outdoors and wanted part of their day to be enjoyed in the Florida sunshine. Reunion offered a stunning outdoor ceremony location in Linear Park and the Grande Falls Pavilion for the reception. The Pavilion is a wonderful glass enclosed space presenting scenic views with the comfort of a weather protected and climate controlled environment.

Mother Nature decided not to fully cooperate for Jackie and Evans and their ceremony was moved indoors- it went off without a hitch and was absolutely beautiful. Plus, the rain and unique stormy skies left room for some of the most memorable pictures from the entire evening.

The Grande Falls Pavilion provided a wonderful shelter from the rain and the new the couple was able to enjoy their first few married hours watching the sunset and dancing the night away with their closest family and friends.

Melodye & Adam’s Wedding

Melodye and Adam’s love story started in a CrossFit Class. Both recognized that they had a special connection from the first time they met. A poem Melodye wrote Adam shares the beginning of their journey.

“When I first met him, I was in the middle of a WOD
I got a glimpse of his really hot bod!
But I knew there was more to him than that
So I waited and waited for him to come chat.
Finally he came over and said hi
I saw such kindness in his eyes
At that moment something in me came alive
So I showed him I could deadlift 185.
We talked and talked and set a date
A date that would become our fate
I knew from our first kiss
that we would share a life of bliss
Best friends, soul mates, the One
Doesn’t come close to whats been done.”

Adam also built a strong relationship with Melodye’s eleven year-old son, Jarrett, that completed their connection. The wedding was an intimate, elegant, fairy tale with many personal touches.

Tina & Alex’s Wedding

Tina and Alex’s love story began a long time ago …. in 6th grade. They decided that they needed to meet other people because, even in 6th grade, they were getting way to serious, so they went their separate ways. But if you ask Tina, she will tell you Alex broke up with her (shhhhh).

In high school they each made bad love decisions, but always remained each others best friend. It was at that time that Tina and Alex made a pact to get married at 30 if they each were not married by then. Little did they know that this whole time they were each others “one.” Years later, after a night out with friends, their love was rekindled while saying good night in front of an elevator, everything fell into place from there.

A friend suggested that they check out Reunion Resort for the wedding and they thought it was the perfect place. Tina fell in love with the venue right away, while Alex fell in love with the Water Park.

Kalyn & Bryan’s Wedding

Bryan and Kalyn have known each other since they were nine years old! They met in their fourth grade class. In fifth grade they sat back to back in class the whole year and became good friends. In middle school Bryan and Kalyn were completely smitten with each other and all of their peers would constantly say “you two are going to get married!” Little did they know…it would come true!

They split in high school after going to two different schools but stayed in touch every now and then. Their senior year, they started to become close again we got back together! They have been inseparable ever since.

Their wedding inspiration was all about under the sea! They have always loved “The Little Mermaid” and Bryan has always been fascinated by what lies under the sea. It was something they both loved and something fun for their guests to experience, it was a perfect fit! All of the decorations and favors were made by Kalyn and the ceremony arch was made by her father, which shadowed Kalyn’s new last name on the floor.

Morgan & Trey’s Wedding

Morgan and Trey have been together since they were 16! They met in high school in Oviedo, FL, and it somehow lasted through their awkward years of growing up. Their relationship even grew through the crazy years of college at Florida State University. They took their relationship slow and even through the ups and downs, Morgan always knew she wanted to end up with Trey, as he is such a gentleman.

Trey asked Morgan to marry him on the top of the Empire State Building in New York City. Between this grand proposal and the close bond between their families and friends, Morgan knew their wedding was going to be special. Because their families have known each other for years and their friends watched them grow as a couple, Morgan and Trey wanted a sentimental but fun party to celebrate their journey and kick off this new chapter.

Morgan’s wedding inspiration came from a video of a beach wedding that took place a few years ago. She said “It was beautiful, classic, sophisticated and timeless, but yet casual, light and so much fun!” She wanted to somehow re-create the atmosphere that reminded her some much of their relationship. The outdoor location for their ceremony was selected because the couple both grew up in Florida and love being outside. The sentimental touches such as their officiant, who is a longtime family friend, added a sweet and classic feel to the ceremony. The reception was a casual affair with a lounge-like feel so that their guests could be comfortable talking, mingling, dancing and enjoying themselves.

Anna & Houston’s Wedding

Houston and Anna met in college at Samford University, in Birmingham, Alabama through Anna’s brother Michael! Towards the end of Anna’s Freshman year, Houston and Anna started to become interested in one another. They talked over the summer but it wasn’t until the beginning of Anna’s sophomore and Houston’s senior year that Houston asked Michael’s permission to take her on their first date. Being the protective big brother, Michael responded, “Of course I’d love for you to take her out, but if you don’t think it’s going to be anything serious I’d rather you not take her out the first time. But you’re one of my best friends and I’d love for you to take her out!” That weekend they had their first date and have been together ever since.

Since Houston was two years older than Anna, he moved back to Atlanta when he graduated. They continued their relationship long distance but made it a priority to see each other as often as possible. Long distance was hard but it made them fall even more in love with each other. In April of Anna’s Senior year, Houston proposed and then Anna moved to Atlanta after graduation. Houston and Anna have fun doing anything as long as they are together. Their goofy personalities were made for each other!

Their wedding inspiration came from a variety of places. Houston and Anna knew they wanted it to be a formal, southern wedding that also reflected their fun personalities. They pulled ideas from weddings of their close friends. Their florist, Lee James, came up with the vision for the ceremony at First Baptist Orlando’s Henry Chapel. Brandee Gaar, their wedding planner, threw a Knot Party at Reunion Resort and they were able to use many elements they loved from that event toward their own reception. Their mothers contributed countless suggestions and it all came together to create the the most beautiful wedding their could have ever imagined.
